We offer a variety of Long and Short term courses as well as bespoke training.

Teaching & Learning

L3 Assessing Vocational Achievement

Suitable for those wanting to pursue assessing occupational competence in the work environment or in environments outside the workplace such as workshops, training environments and in the classroom.

​

Areas covered:

  • Principles and practices of assessment

  • Assessing occupational competence within the work environment

  • Assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding.

 

Suitable for those wanting to become an Assessor.

​

L4 Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (IQA)

For those working in learning and development who will be assessing or verifying NVQ’s.

​

Areas covered:

  • Basic understanding of the internal quality assurance process, this would be most suited to managers or those new to internal verification.

  • Process and practices – suitable for internal quality assurance assessors.

  • Lead internal processes and practices – suitable for managers taking the lead on assessing quality assurance.

​

 L3 Learning and Development 

Appropriate for those have a learning and development responsibility within their job role, for example workplace managers/supervisors and experienced staff who support the learning and development of others.

 

Within this qualification there is the opportunity to achieve the assessors qualification via the optional unit choices.

L2 Early Years Practitioner(EYP)

The Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner provides learners with the knowledge and understanding of working with babies and young children from birth to 7 years and supports the development of the practical and technical skills need to work with children up to the age of 5 years.

​

L3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (EYE)

On achievement of this course you will be provided with a licence to be an Early Years Practitioner in a range of Early Years settings.

You will be required to work in an Early Years setting with children aged birth – 5 years, 5-7 years will be knowledge based within the qualification.

A pre sign up assignment is required to be completed by the learner to ascertain literacy skills for the course.

It is expected that this course will take on average 18 months to two years in duration.

L2/3 Playwork (Certificate/Diploma)

Suitable for those working in breakfast or after-school clubs, play schemes, community workers etc. with school aged children.

Duration 12 – 18 months.

​

L2 Children and Young People's Workforce (CYPW)

Suitable for assistants within playgroups, preschools, day nurseries, nursery schools, etc.

Duration is 12 months. Progression on to L3 and EYE possible.                   ​

 

L5 Children and Young People's Workforce (CYPW)

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for the Children and Young People's Workforce is the ideal qualification if you work as a senior practitioner, deputy manager or assistant manager within Early Years and Children and Young People's settings. This qualification comes with the option to choose either an advanced or management pathway for the optional units.

​

This diploma qualification is designed for new and aspiring team leaders - get an in-depth introduction to the role and its responsibilities  - the ideal launch pad for your management career.

L4 & L5 Management and Leadership
​

L4 - Ideal for managers moving into a middle management position. For those who want the skills to take on higher level responsibilities such as planning and implementing change.

​

L5 -  For middle managers with responsibility for substantial programmers and resources. Ideal for those who want to develop their skills in strategic planning, change and business process design.

L2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
​

Appropriate if you are working under supervision within a school setting/environment, to develop your skills and knowledge through mandatory and optional units. A range of areas are covered in the 11 units needed such as, child and young people’s development, supporting learning activities, safeguarding and positive behaviour.

L3 Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in School
​

Suitable for those directly working with children and young people in primary, secondary or special schools providing specialist support. This qualification will enable you to acquire an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills required which include planning, delivering and assessing, supporting the teacher. 11 mandatory units with personally chosen optional units.

Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools

Advice & Guidance

These qualifications are for those working with clients in organisations providing advice and guidance services on a professional or voluntary basis.

​

Level 3
​

Your role involves providing advice and guidance directly to clients, reporting to line management as well as associated services. You may also supervise and support other staff members.

​

Level 4
​

Your role involves providing specialist advice and guidance to clients, reporting to senior management and networking with associated services. As well as managing, negotiating, training, evaluating and developing the service provision.
